Computing: Wish I could get some work done

Sometimes it seems like the majority of my life is spent resolving problems with computers (and phones), problems that seem to crop up for no reason just when I'm about to try to accomplish something.

A few days ago I returned from a sojourn to rural Cambodia, where the wifi was non-existent and the data-mobility was iffy, and I'd forgot to take the power cord for my laptop.

Trackpads: Deliberately Useless Devices?

Recently I managed to drop my laptop less than a third of a meter to the floor on its side. Unfortunately, this this pushed the little USB thingie that runs the wireless mouse up into the housing to the point where the mouse no longer worked.

So, until I returned home, then, I was stuck using the trackpad. There was some bad language involved.

Windows 10: What to do, what to do?

The impending “upgrade” of my computers to Windows 10 is bugging the bejeezus out of me.

But my mind has now been made up for me. Way to go, Windows!

1,000 Apologies, I had to remove my actual e-mail address from this page. I got really tired of sock puppets offering me free sexual favours. (And NO! I don't know how many of them were Russian, and it wouldn't change my vote!) So here's one of those crappy contact forms that I really hate. Did I mention I'm sorry?
